Sandie Harvey

Doctor: Dr. Williams

Introducing Sandie Harvey, Spokesperson for "Make 50 the New 40 with Fraxel™ Laser Treatment"

A convergence of life changes two years ago prompted Sandie Harvey, R.N., now 52 years old, to seek Fraxel™ Laser Treatment to improve her appearance by reducing the wrinkles around her eyes and sun damage that are an unfortunate byproduct of aging. Within a period of about 10 years, the registered nurse survived cancer, turned 50, relocated homes, changed jobs after getting her masters degree, was blessed but also jolted to become a first-time grandmother, and found herself newly single after 25 years of marriage.

After struggling successfully through this tumultuous period, she decided: "I want to look as good on the outside as I feel on the inside." Sandie, who works for leading plastic surgeon Dr. Carl Williams of Las Vegas, NV, and is knowledgeable about the vast array of cosmetic procedures available, chose Fraxel Laser Treatment over other options because of factors like non-invasiveness, quick recovery, longevity of results and lack of side effects. She consulted with Dr. Williams and the rest is history.

Dr. Williams performed five Fraxel laser treatments of her face and one of her neck over a period of a couple of months. The regimen resulted in an overall resurfacing of her skin texture and reduction of fine lines around her eyes. "It was like my skin went from burlap to silk," she says.

She was thrilled to find that the improvements were rapid, and she was able to return to normal daily living activities a very short time after treatment. "A few days later, people were asking me, what's different, what have you done, did you get your hair colored?" she recalls.

Sandie's complete satisfaction with Fraxel Laser Treatment led her to sign on as spokeswoman for the "Make 50 the New 40" campaign, which will provide five lucky 50 year-olds with free treatment, local special events and a trip to New York City to celebrate both their birthdays and enhanced new looks. "It's a win-win situation," she says. "I'd encourage any man or woman who wants a more youthful appearance to go for it."
